Mommy & Me Mini Sessions!

published on

I am SO excited for these sessions!  The bond between a mother and her child or children  is one of the most special in the world.  If you’re anything like me, you’re always the one behind the camera in family photos, and rarely ever in them.  Even when we have our family’s photos professionally taken, I’m always too busy worrying about everyone else, that I don’t really relax and definitely don’t want to be the focus of any photos and we most often just focus on the kids.  I’ve recently been reminded in many ways, that life’s moments are precious.  I want to be in more photos with my children, and I would love for those photos to capture us being us.  This is where Mommy and Me Mini-Sessions came about…and what more perfect timing to celebrate moms, than right around Mother’s Day.  Give yourself a Mother’s Day gift that will keep on giving to you years down the road.  No matter where in life you are, or your children are…I’m sure it’s a perfect time to capture these moments.  Another thought is as much as I’d love photos like this with my own children, I’d love some with my own mom just as much.

So it doesn’t matter if you’re a mom and your littles are young or old, or if you’re a mom, and you want to schedule this session for you and your own mom…we will make this session work for you. Exact location is yet to be determined, but I am considering Dudley Farm or Kanapaha Botanical Gardens.

Get creative…like I said, I really want this session to be about you and your kids.  I’m thinking if it were me, I might bring a blanket and some of my girl’s favorite books, and capture our snuggles and stories. Maybe you want to stop and grab some ice-treats, or bring a special game or toy you love to play together…maybe it means taking a little walk together, or just hanging out being YOU.  That is what this is all about, and what I really hope to capture for you.

Sessions will be held from 9-12 and 1-4 every 20 minutes.  If you have questions, please let me know. Otherwise, email me at TAPbyNicole@gmail.com to schedule your session today!  I have a feeling these will fill up rather quickly. Session fee is due at the time of booking.

Happy Mother’s Day to you!  (Just a little early…but shouldn’t it be Happy Mother’s Day every day??)

Introducing...

Pink Door Boudoir...

Boudoir (pronounced "boo-dwar" or, if you are feeling fancy, "boo-dwa") is the French term for bedroom. However, nowadays, it describes a variety of things, including furniture, clothing, and a genre of photography. As a boudoir photographer, my style tends to be feminine, flirty, and artistic. I strive to create a casual, fun environment and provide you with classy images, showcasing your femininity. Each session is catered to your individual personality.

NO Pictures, Pretty Please!

Hi TAP fans! I think we all have either seen photos or have been to a wedding where wedding guests pull out their phones, cameras, or even their IPads to take photos of the bride & groom at one point or another during the wedding day. While this might not bother some, there are couples out there who have cringed at the photos of them walking down the aisle or kissing at the altar and like, 10 people are in the shot with their own cameras. I'm sure we've all done it at least once - I know I have! We get so caught up in the moment and just want to take that photo. But I think that we need to be mindful of the professionals hired to photograph the wedding and the couple who most likely spent thousands of dollars to have those memories captured. You can't "do-over" those moments.

No matter how much you love photos and may think that the "more is better" approach when it comes to people snapping away, hear me out and weigh the option on having an unplugged ceremony. You might just find it's exactly what you've been dreaming of!

Staring at your closet for an hour won't work

Hiring a professional for your next set of photos makes for beautiful and lasting keepsakes, but one of the hardest decisions is what you (and everyone else in the photos) are going to wear! I've got a whole bunch of inspiration to make deciding what to wear for photos SO much easier when staring at your closet for an hour just won't work...

One of my personal favorite times of year, fall photos are filled with rustic beauty. You won’t have any trouble figuring out what to wear for photos in the fall with these ideas!

How to ensure you do not look like a clown on your wedding day

When it comes to wedding preparations, a lot of brides choose to forgo hiring a professional makeup artist for their wedding, as they see it as an added expense that they could do without. Being that I work with professional makeup artists myself, of course my advise is a bit biased, but I believe it could be one of the best investments a bride could make for her wedding day. Although I recognize that hiring a professional isn’t for everyone, there are certain types of brides that it could be most beneficial for. If you’re the type of bride who gets riddled with nerves easily or has little experience with makeup applications, hiring a professional makeup artist for your wedding would not only make your wedding day less stressful, but sitting in a chair and getting pampered helps you totally relax so that you can focus on walking down the aisle, and finally be married to the one you love! Here are my five tips for brides to keep in mind when hiring a professional makeup artist for your wedding day.
